Shreeram Aradhye


Shreeram Aradhye has been Global Head, Medical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer - Pharmaceuticals , since February 2017. He is a member of the Pharma Executive Committee and a member of the Development Committee Novartis.

Concurrently, Shreeram Aradhye has held the role of ad interim Head Clinical Development Medical Affairs & Patient Advocacy Region Europe since February 2017. 

Prior to his current appointments, Shreeram has been the Global Head, Development Neuroscience for 3.5 years, after serving as Executive Global Program Head for the Multiple Sclerosis portfolio from 2012 to 2013 and Head  Global Development India from 2011 to 2012. Prior to that, Shreeram Aradhye has held multiple leadership roles, including Head US Medical Affairs and Head Global Medical Affairs for Transplantation and Immunology, Senior Global Program Medical Director for Gilenya and Clinical Franchise Head for the Immunology and Infectious Diseases  Franchise. He also served on a cross divisional assignment as the Head of Clinical Development and Medical Affairs for the Sandoz Biosimilars BU in 2010. 

Before joining Novartis, Shreeram Aradhye was an Assistant Professor of Medicine and transplant nephrologist at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. 

Shreeram Aradhye received his MD from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in 1989 and received formal specialty training in internal medicine and Nephrology in the United States.
